Bible in a Year · Effective Date: October 3, 2026

Company: Beijing TideForce Interactive Technology Co., Ltd. · Email: contact@tideforceinc.com

The plain-English version

The full policy below is the legally binding one. This is what it means.

  • Your progress, saved takeaways, highlights, and journal belong to you. We see what we need to run the service: your account (an anonymous ID unless you choose to sign in), your subscription status, how the app is used, and technical signals that tell us what's broken. We don't sell any of it.
  • There are no ads inside Bible in a Year, we don't track you across other apps or websites, and we don't use your data for anyone else's advertising.
  • Deleting your account deletes your data: account, progress, takeaways, highlights, and journal. (Purchase records live with Apple and follow Apple's policies.)

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Beijing TideForce Interactive Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "our", "us") handles information in connection with Bible in a Year, our daily audio Bible application ("the App"). We respect your privacy and process your information responsibly and transparently.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information. The App works without registration: on first use, an anonymous account with a random identifier is created for you (via Google Firebase). If you later choose to sign in with Apple, we receive the basic identifiers Apple shares (such as your email address or Apple's private relay address), linked to the same account.

Your Activity. Your reading plan and which days you have completed, the takeaways you save, the verses you highlight, and the notes and journal entries you write are stored with your account so they can be kept in sync. The name you enter when you first open the App stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Problem Reports. If you report a problem with an episode, we receive the day, your playback position, the kind of problem, anything you choose to write, your app and system version, and your network type. Reports are stored without your account identifier.

Support Emails. If you contact us from the App's Help and Feedback screen, the email is pre-filled with your app version, system version, and account identifier so we can find your account and help you. You can remove these lines before sending. We use what you send only to respond to you.

Payments. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple's In‑App Purchase (IAP). We do not store full payment details. We receive your subscription status (e.g., active plan and expiration date) to unlock premium features.

Usage Data. We record how the App is used (for example, which screens are opened and whether playback starts or finishes), linked to your account identifier, to understand what works and what doesn't. These records do not include the text of your notes or journal.

Automatically Collected Data. Device model and OS, app version, crash reports, diagnostic logs, and limited technical data needed to operate and secure the service.

What we don't collect. We do not use advertising identifiers, we do not ask for your location or contacts, and daily reminders are scheduled on your device without sending anything to us.

3. Religious Information

Bible in a Year is a Bible app, so your use of it may reflect your religious interests. We never ask you to declare your religion or beliefs, we do not build profiles of your religious views, and we do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising. Your activity data is used only to provide the features described in this Policy.

4. How We Use Information

  • Provide core functionality (daily episodes, scripture, syncing your account data).
  • Verify subscription entitlements and provide premium access.
  • Understand how the App is used, fix problems, and improve it.
  • Enforce fair-use limits and prevent abuse of the service.
  • Respond to support requests, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our Terms.

5. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information with service providers acting on our behalf, under confidentiality and data protection obligations:

  • Apple for IAP payment processing, subscription management, and sign-in.
  • Google Firebase for authentication, storage of your account data, usage analytics, and crash reporting.
  • Cloudflare for server hosting and content delivery.
  • Authorities when required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.

Scripture text is requested through our own servers; no personal data about you is sent to the scripture provider.

6. Data Storage, Transfers & Security

  • Data may be processed on servers located within or outside your country/region. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
  • We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including encryption in transit).
  • We retain data only for as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this Policy, unless longer retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights & Account Deletion

Subject to applicable laws — including, where they apply, the EU/UK GDPR — you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can export your notes, highlights, and takeaways under Me › Account › Export My Notes, and delete your account under Me › Account › Delete Account or by contacting us at contact@tideforceinc.com. When you delete your account, we delete the data linked to your identifier, except limited records we are required to keep by law. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; subscriptions are managed in your App Store account settings.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Subscription & Payment Information

The App uses Apple's In-App Purchase (IAP) system for premium subscriptions. Payments are processed through your Apple ID account. We do not collect or store your credit card or full billing details.

  • Auto-Renewable Subscription. If you purchase a premium subscription, it automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Renewal charges may occur within 24 hours prior to the period's end.
  • Free Trials. If a free trial is offered, it will convert to a paid plan unless canceled before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a trial period is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
  • Entitlements. We receive limited information about your subscription status (e.g., active plan and expiration date) to verify entitlements and provide premium access. This information is not used for advertising and is not sold to third parties.
  • Manage or Cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings. Removing the app does not cancel your subscription.
  • Refunds. Billing and refunds are handled under Apple's App Store policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post updates on this page with a revised "Effective Date." Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
